American Red Cross

Armed Forces Emergency Services

The American Red Cross is chartered by Congress to act as a liaison between the families of our military personnel and the military.

Our duties include verifying family emergencies and deaths and relaying this information to the appropriate military official. While we do not have the authority to grant emergency leaves, our go-between reduces some of the stress and worries on the family and assures the military that the emergency actually exists.
