American Red Cross of Iroquois County Blood Services
One of the most popular and well known services of the Red Cross are the bloodmobiles. Iroquois County has responded generously to this ever increasing need. Whether you are a first time donor or a multi gallon donor - You are a Hero! Someone has been given another chance to live, watch their children grow up, laugh and play because you took a few hours out of your busy schedule to donate the gift of life. Thank you!
- Some facts about giving...
- You can not contact any disease from giving.
- Red Cross blood goes through a thorough check before being used
- It only take one to two hours to donate
- The Red Cross uses professional nurses to draw the blood
If you're not already a donor and would like to become one, you must be at least 16 years of age (under 18 requires a signed parental consent form) and in good health. We accept walk-ins at all our bloodmobiles. Check below for the date, time and place of the nearest upcoming bloodmobile. You may give blood every 8 weeks.
